burnt peanut butter cookies

Well I can't expect to always get it right...I managed to leave the second batch of cookies in the oven a little to long...they are nice and crispy (an rather unedible). Hopefully the first batch are okay, I glazed them with chocolate, there is just nothing like peanut butter and chocolate (but this is very American...not so big down under). They will be served at our community group this evening.

So, what is happening with 'tablenosh' and who is coming to dinner next? I think the next 'tablenosh' is going to be more of a cocktail party, with about 20pp. I will have to start networking and practicing my cocktail making skills, as well as my canape making skills. Fun fun.

By the way I did make a new recipe last night 'beurre blanc sauce.' I bought Pete some steak and thought he might like a good sauce, so I pulled it out of the french cookbook and whipped it up, he LOVED it!

cookie recipe (here is an attempt to tell you what I put it in them)
1 cup of plain flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg
125g (1/2 cup) butter softened
1/4 cup creamy peanut butter

Mix it all up (I use an elexctric mixer). Then roll into balls and press down with a fork. Bake for 8-10minutes on 180C (350F). I just melted some chocolate and spread it on top of the cookies once they were cool. Enjoy!
