Logo Edit

Okay, so my cousin inspired me to do some logo editing and this is what I have come up with...your feedback please!

Hey lovely.
I didn't feedback before because I was in a hurry when I looked and then didn't get back to it. I really like the bigger writing, but I miss the chocolate sauce surround. It felt more savoury and sweet at the same time.

Hi, I'm Leila. I am a follower of Jesus, daughter, wife, adoptive mom, foster mom, friend, passionate cook, and lover of people. I believe deeply in cultivating hospitality, whether it is simple and spontaneous or beautifully planned. Table Nosh began in Sydney as a way to open my home and gather people around the table to share good food, conversation, and life together. It was an 'underground' word of mouth style dinner party. Today, this space is a collection of stories about faith, hospitality, family, food, and the many ways God nourishes our souls. Pull up a chair. There is room at the table.

Tablenosh Concept

Tablenosh grew out of my desire to bring people together around food while growing my own culinary skills. It was inspired by the 'underground' restaurant movement happening around the world.

My initial concept for 'tablenosh' was simple: a group of people gathered around a table to enjoy an evening of good food and company in a humble, cozy setting. My vision was that 'tablenosh' would not only whet the appetite, but also delight the soul as we engage in community around the table.

This blog originally focused on sharing the stories, menus, and fun of 'tablenosh' dinner parties and events. But as our family grew through adoption and fostering, it transitioned into a place where I could write about my food journey — my ideas, recipes, hopes, dreams, and passions for food and people.

There is no question that creating, cooking, and feasting at the table with others is my best therapy. The journey of infertility, adoption, foster care, nonprofit work, and the curveballs of life has brought a more desperate need for me to settle back into the kitchen, reset my nervous system, and create nourishing food to share with whoever happens to be at our table.

It is still my hope that one day 'tablenosh' dinners will take place here in Richmond, VA, on this homestead we are slowly building.
